Accounts assistant - Rural Services and Outsourcing

Old Mill Rural Services has established a reputation as a leader in the provision of proactive accountancy and business advice to West Country farmers and rural based businesses. Many of our technicians and accountants come directly from farming backgrounds and so have a true understanding of the issues and challenges that face this sector. Growth and success has led to a new opportunity to join our expanding and talented team in Exeter.
This is an interesting and varied role for a self motivated individual wishing to add value for our diverse portfolio of clients. This is a dual role whereby you can also expect to allocate a proportion of your time undertaking some outsourcing work for clients, in addition to the specialised work of Rural Services. Either way you will enjoy a broad range of accountancy, tax and outsourcing work, and client contact.
Qualifications & skills:
- Background or interest in farming and rural communities
- AAT qualified or qualified through experience in a practice environment
- Some experience of outsourcing services would be an advantage
- Experience and knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Quickbooks
- Good interpersonal skills
- Self motivation and discipline
- A good team player
