Business growth and the internal career progression of some key individuals within our teams, has led to the availability of immediate positions for proactive Accounts Seniors with sound technical capability, to join our growing talented teams in Yeovil.

Operating from five offices through Somerset, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon and beyond, Old Mill has a wealth of high profile clients that provide varied, interesting and challenging work. Many of our technicians and accountants come directly from farming backgrounds and so have a true understanding of the issues and challenges that face this sector.

Your duties will include the following:

Managing client portfolios
Supervising junior staff
Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Personal and corporation tax computations and returns
Dealing with client queries
Working as part of a team to deliver a high quality service

Qualifications and skills:

ACA/ACCA qualified ideally from a progressive accountancy practice
Relevant experience and knowledge of the Rural sector
Up to date accounting knowledge - including accounting standards
Current knowledge of CGT and IHT planning for the agricultural sector
Experience in accounts preparation, and tax with a Rural Services bias
Excellent interpersonal skills
Team player
Organised
Commercially aware
Flexible
