Old Mill outgrows Dix’s field
Exeter-based accountants and financial planners Old Mill is moving to new premises in Leeward House, Sowton after outgrowing its Dix’s Field office.
The West Country practice, which also has branches in Yeovil, Shepton Mallet, Melksham and -as of April – Dorchester, has been going from strength to strength since its management buyout back in 2006.
The Exeter office opened five years ago as the hub for Old Mill’s Corporate Finance operation. But since then, the office has grown to provide a full range of accountancy and tax services with additional specialisms in financial planning, renewable energy, VAT, farming and food.
“Growing an office from scratch is challenging in the best of times”, explained local office partner, Guy Eggleton, “but luckily for Old Mill, the Exeter office has been a great success. Unfortunately though, we cannot complete our plan for further expansion at Dix’s Field because we have simply run out of space.”
Not only will the new location offer the space Old Mill needs, but due to its location, will also be much more convenient for both staff and clients, as Guy explains.
“Leeward House is more central than Dix’s Field, so will be much more convenient for our clients who are spread across the region. Plus, it will reduce the time spent by our staff travelling to and from the four other Old Mill offices – the newest of which opened in Dorchester on 1 April, following a merger with Perks Simm.”
“I am immensely grateful to the Old Mill team, our clients and professional contacts for the tremendous support we have received and very much look forward to the next phase in our growth from our new office.”
Old Mill has other offices in Yeovil, Shepton Mallet, Melksham and Dorchester and now employs 225 members of staff.
