Earlier this year we sent out a client survey in conjunction with Dimensional Fund Advisors.
The survey was sent by a global community of financial advisers to their clients. This year, nearly 19,000 of these clients participated in a feedback survey.
Results of the survey have helped us reflect on the investor and client experience and consider additional ways that we can continue to meet clients’ needs. Investors shared feedback on a range of topics, and we thought you might be interested in a couple of key findings: The green bar shows the response from Old Mill clients and the blue bar the total global result.
- Our clients value our experience of clients like them and the service we provide as most important in our relationship.
- They rank peace of mind and understanding them as an individual well above investment returns—as the primary way they measure the value of working with their financial adviser
- Investors’ top worries are not having enough money to live comfortably in retirement and experiencing significant investment loss in a market downturn.
We want to help our clients make the kinds of sound financial decisions that can allow them to worry less, relax more and spend time on all of the other things they value. The time that we spend learning about them and their goals helps us focus on the things that matter most to them.
