Victoria Watts announced as new Head of Yeovil office for Old Mill
20 November 2018
Victoria Watts, who has worked at Yeovil accountants and financial planners Old Mill for 12 years, has been announced as the new Head of Office.
In her new role, Victoria will help to increase levels of employee morale and engagement amongst the 120 staff, and ensure high job satisfaction and personal wellbeing.
Victoria’s other key responsibility will be as ambassador for Old Mill in the local area, where she will help and encourage staff to become more engaged with the community through organising and supporting networking events, charitable initiatives and Corporate Social Responsibility.
Victoria, 37, is already very proactive in the office, and is a very visible face in the local area through attending various networking events; she is keen to raise the profile of Old Mill, its staff and its work even further.
She said: “I want to encourage staff to become more engaged with each other and with the businesses’ values and behaviours. I am also keen to help employees get involved and enjoy social activities both in the office and in the local area, through running and supporting local events and fundraising, with a particular focus on our chosen office fundraising initiative for this year, Lofty Therapy Horses.
“I am very passionate about making the office a great place to work and I think this role will help give me the opportunity to do that.”
For the past six years, Victoria’s line manager Stuart Grimster has held the role of office head; he says the role was very challenging and enjoyable, but it is time for him to move on.
“Victoria is an excellent manager of people – she celebrates success and encourages others to do the same. She is very social and likes to bring a bit of fun to the work place and I think she will be excellent in the role, bringing the office culture forward in a very positive manner.”
